2007 Wedding Highlights

Stacy and Derrick
The story of Stacy and Derrick is so heartwarming and probably more complicated than I have room to tell here. He is a fireman, dedicated to serving the community and she is a nurse who spends her days caring for others. They met at the hospital when he was very ill. She cared for him and as fate would have it, they fell in love and were married.

The weather was perfect for their ceremony and reception at Talon Winery. The ceremony was at the lake and they said their vows on the dock. The reception was held in the barn and the atmosphere of rustic elegance suited them perfectly.

I don't think I will ever be able to hear a firetruck's siren again without wondering if Derrick is on the job or drive by the hospital and know that Stacy is giving care to someone in need.

Lisa and Kevin
It took a few months and some traveling, but eventually Lisa and Kevin chose to get married close to home. When the RJ Corman Airplane Hanger was offered to them for their reception by a dear family friend, they knew there was no reason to look further.

Lisa's Mom, Jackie, and the bridesmaids help Lisa get into her gown in her suite at the Hilton Suites Hotel.
The hanger was aglow with twinkle lights, candles and large lighted Calla Lilies. The cake table added extra glitz. Guests danced all night to the music of The Big Thrill with the RJ Corman helicopters nearby. Even a trip to the ladies room was special in the little red caboose!

The ceremony took place on the front porch, and Jennifer and Michael were surprised by the horse and carriage that whisked them away afterwards. It gave them a few moments to savor their vows before joining guests poolside for cocktails and hors d'ouerves.
Jennifer and Michael

At home weddings are my favorite and when Jennifer and Michael chose her parent's home as the site for their April 29th wedding, I was really excited. Their guests were treated to perfect weather, fabulous scenery and great food.
The Sweets table was a huge hit, guests were lined up to take home the bourbon balls, buckeyes and candies made by the bride's family members.
What more could a bride and groom ask for? Well, fireworks, of course! The bride's parents were able to keep that moment a secret and it was delightful to see the look on Jennifer and Michael's faces as the sky lit up!
